The agency stated, “We have collected evidence by monitoring domestic communities (Naver, Daum, Nate, Theqoo, DC Inside’s BTS and Male Celebrity Galleries, Instiz, Ilbe, FM Korea, Ygosu, Soul Dresser, etc.), music platforms (Melon, Bugs Music, Genie Music, etc.), and international SNS channels (X, Instagram, YouTube, etc.), and have filed lawsuits against individuals responsible for malicious posts identified in various communities.”

They added, “In the third quarter of 2024, fines have been finalized for some of the lawsuits filed, with penalties being issued sequentially. We will continue to handle other ongoing cases responsibly to achieve favorable outcomes.”

Regarding the unauthorized intrusion attempt at Jungkook’s home, the agency responded swiftly. They stated, “A police investigation is underway concerning a recent attempt to unlawfully enter a BTS member’s home. We are actively cooperating with the police by collecting and submitting evidence, including CCTV footage, to ensure the intruder faces appropriate criminal charges.”

The intruder is identified as a woman in her 30s with Chinese nationality, referred to as A. According to the Seoul Yongsan Police Station, A was arrested as a current offender on June 11 at 11:20 p.m., the day Jungkook completed his mandatory military service, after repeatedly attempting to input the passcode to Jungkook’s home in Yongsan-gu, Seoul. She was apprehended following a report from a neighbor. The charge is attempted residential trespassing.

Below is the full official statement from BigHit Music:

Hello,
This is BigHit Music.
We sincerely thank all fans for their warm support for BTS.
To protect the rights of our artists and ensure BTS can continue their activities safely, we are steadfastly pursuing legal action against malicious defamation, the spread of false information, sexual harassment, insults, and other illegal activities conducted online.
This quarter, with the valuable reports from fans, we have collected evidence by monitoring domestic communities (Naver, Daum, Nate, Theqoo, DC Inside’s BTS and Male Celebrity Galleries, Instiz, Ilbe, FM Korea, Ygosu, Soul Dresser, etc.), music platforms (Melon, Bugs Music, Genie Music, etc.), and international SNS channels (X, Instagram, YouTube, etc.), and have filed lawsuits against individuals responsible for malicious posts identified in these communities.
In the third quarter of 2024, fines have been finalized for some of the lawsuits filed, with penalties being issued sequentially. We will continue to handle other ongoing cases responsibly to achieve favorable outcomes.
Additionally, a police investigation is underway concerning a recent attempt to unlawfully enter a BTS member’s home. We are actively cooperating with the police by collecting and submitting evidence, including CCTV footage, to ensure the intruder faces appropriate criminal charges.
Furthermore, we are promptly reporting stalking activities targeting BTS members to the police to ensure immediate arrests of offenders, while also pursuing restraining orders in connection with these cases. We are taking a firm stance with no leniency against any actions that threaten the privacy and safety of our artists.
As BTS, who recently completed their military service duties and returned to their fans, should not suffer harm from malicious rumors or derogatory remarks, we are responding even more thoroughly.
Spreading baseless rumors, personal insults, sexual harassment, and privacy violations are clear illegal acts. We will address these without any compromise, and in this process, fans’ reports are a great help. If you discover cases suspected of infringing on BTS’s rights, such as malicious posts or IP violations, please report them actively through the ‘HYBE Artist Rights Violation Report Site (protect.hybecorp.com).’ To make legal actions more effective, we recommend capturing full PC screens or providing full-screen print files (PDF) rather than mobile screenshots, ensuring details like URLs, posters, post content, and capture dates are clearly visible, as this greatly aids legal proceedings.
We thank fans for their continued interest and support for BTS, and BigHit Music will continue to do its utmost to protect BTS’s rights.
Thank you.
